Colored
This wood is actually stained—though inconsistently—different shades of blue and gray, giving it an almost shadow-like appearance. These muted and dull colors were caused by oxidization of metal objects embedded in the wood for years.

A portion of each board is sawn from the very center of the tree. This wood is characterized by a mirrored grain pattern that radiates from the center, is light blond in color and has some tight knots. This wood also has a unique, natural shine.

This wood is characterized by wavy lines—caused by side cutting the log during the milling process. Knots add visual interest and a rustic character.

 C.V.G. (Clear Vertical Grain)
This wood has the clean vertical lines of the tree’s annual growth rings. With about 8 to 20 rings to the inch, warm yellow to burnt orange colors set this grade apart.

 Legacy C.V.G. (Clear Vertical Grain)
This impressive wood has the very tight ring count of 20 to 30 rings to the inch. Cinnamon brown in color, this knotless wood is striking to the eye and gorgeous in its definitive vertical lines.
