Chain of Custody Control System:
Columbia Riverwood ensures that all of our lumber products are accurately documented and tracked from their location in the river to final lumber production in order to provide our clients an
FSC-certified, green product.
The Chain of Custody system tracks and verifies all logs from river to mill through a set of
well established protocols:
- Documentation: from river to log yard to our retail outlets, all tracked by our FSC ID
Number, SCS-COS-001455.
- Segregation: to ensure that Columbia Riverwood boomsticks and final products are kept separate from other products at a sawmill certified by FSC for its chain of custody procedures.
- Marking/Labeling: the wood will not be mistaken for other wood, as it will be clearly marked with the FSC 100% Recycled logo as boomsticks, as rough cut lumber,
and as kiln-dried, finished products.
